The Ross County Veteran Service Commission is here to provide eligible veterans and their families and widows with benefits to which they may be entitled.

• Emergency/Financial Assistance provided for short term basic living needs to eligible veterans, spouses, dependent children and widows on an emergency basis. Services include emergency food assistance, emergency utility assistance, emergency help with rent/mortgage assistance.
• Burial assistance for indigent Veterans, Spouse, Surviving Spouse, Dependent Children, or Veterans Parent, up to $1000
• Grave Markers and Flags
• Transportation to and from VAMC scheduled appointments
• Military Discharge, Medals and other Military Records
• Help with filing Compensation or Pension claims, Widows Benefits, Burial through the Veterans’ Affairs (VA)
